This full carbon paddle was designed specifically with the solo outrigger paddler in mind. Carbon has a reputation amongst outrigger paddlers for being stiff and unforgiving so KIALOA removed these obstacles by using carbon fabrics with specific fiber orientation and constructing a one piece paddle (no joint where the paddle meets the shaft,) to increase shock absorption and reduce joint stress.
